Most days, I’m a mellow yellow-
Jaded and faded, like a 60’s smiley face,
Laid-back and complacent,
Seemingly preoccupied and cool.
But I wasn’t always yellow,
Sapphire was satire, and that was me,
A joker I was, a jester of sorts,
I loved to cause a ruckus wrapped in rhubarb of a pickle of a jam
Then I got older, less bolder,
But the fool still hands around.
Jaded and faded, like a 60’s smiley face,
Laid-back and complacent,
Seemingly preoccupied and cool.
But I wasn’t always yellow,
Sapphire was satire, and that was me,
A joker I was, a jester of sorts,
I loved to cause a ruckus wrapped in rhubarb of a pickle of a jam
Then I got older, less bolder,
But the fool still hands around.
